How long is the course?
That depends on you. The course is divided into five modules that you complete at your own pace. Some students complete the entire course in as few as two months, others take considerably longer. You make take up to ten months to complete the course for no additional fees.
Is tuition assistance available?
Many companies recognize the need for their employees to enhance their skill base and advance their education. For more information contact your human resources specialist.
What happens to my balance if I complete the course in less than ten months?
When you register for the final examination you will be assessed the balance on your account. The balance must be satisfied before the final examination opens up for you.
Is my charge account secure on your website?
Yes. We use “PayPal” to process payments. PayPal is a professional and trusted name in online payments. PayPal is also set up to take debit card and checks online. Just use the “Feedback” link to let us know if you would prefer to use regular mail or telephone to pay your tuition.
When do I receive my certificate?
After completion of the final module you will be eligible to take the final examination. You may use your textbook and notes to complete this exam. Once the exam is completed and passed you will receive your certificate via certified mail. You have the option of having us professionally frame and mount your certificate for an additional fee. You will also receive information for membership in AALNC (American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants) and certification procedures. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU JOIN AALNC.
Are there any onsite travel requirements?
No. Your kitchen table or living room sofa is your classroom. Our course is designed to be completed entirely at home.
Do I need computer access?
Yes. We have integrated many websites into our curriculum. To be a successful LNC it is necessary to learn how to navigate the web. You will learn to do that in this course.

After completion of Integrity First Educators’ Legal Nurse Consulting Course what type of cases will I be qualified to consult?
Many LNCs practice in areas of civil and criminal litigation in which injuries and/or medical treatment are factors. Some LNCs specialize in toxic tort litigation or risk management. Many LNCs are independent practitioners and own their own businesses offering services to attorneys, insurance companies, government agencies, hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Can I work as a part-time LNC?
Many LNCs begin an independent practice on a part-time basis while continuing a full or part-time job. As the business grows, they may reduce their clinical hours.
How much can I make as an LNC?
Although many factors enter into the fees charged by LNCs our studies show that LNCs generally charge upwards of $100 per hour. For example, the LNC may bill between $100 and $120 per hour for medical record reviewers while taking depositions and pre-trial work would be considerably more. Generally, as LNCs gain experience the fees charged rise significantly.
Who oversees and critiques Integrity First Educator’s Legal Nurse Consulting Course?
Although presently there is no requirement for formal oversight, Integrity First Educators’ Legal Nurse Consulting Course is overseen by nurses experienced in legal nurse consulting and a civil trial attorney with years of experience practicing before the courts in the District of Columbia. Integrity First Educators adheres to the principles and guidelines established by the AALNC (American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.)
